My inspiration

My plan
Landlord said yes to paint if I kept it neutral-ish. Clay walls, secondhand drawers, nothing screwed into the walls.
What I used
- Clay emulsion 2.5LLocal hardware shop
- Roller, tray, brushAlready owned
- Pine drawersCharity shop, €45
- Furniture waxHardware shop
€200
Estimated

It cost

It took
How I did it
- 1Emptied the room properly. Took longer than the painting.
- 2Filled every hole, sanded, wiped down.
- 3Cut in around the coving with a 50mm brush — two evenings.
- 4Two full coats with a day between.
- 5Sanded the drawers back to bare pine and waxed them.
- 6Put everything back and got rid of two bags of stuff.
After

Would I do it again?
Yes, absolutelyI'd buy better masking tape. That's the only thing.

Did the landlord want it back magnolia at the end?
Aoife M.
He's happy once it's painted well. Got that in writing.
