Two raised beds from reclaimed boards

My plan

Wanted vegetables without digging up the lawn. Reclaim yard sells scaffold boards for a few euro each.

What I used

• Scaffold boards x8Reclaim yard, €32
• Exterior screws€7
• Compost x6 bagsGarden centre, €48

How I did it

1. 1Measured the sunny side of the yard.
2. 2Cut boards to 1.8m and 0.9m with a handsaw.
3. 3Screwed corners into offcut posts.
4. 4Levelled with a spirit level and packed under with soil.
5. 5Lined, filled, planted salad and herbs.

After

Would I do it again?

I'd make them a board higher. Bending down is the enemy.
